$25/BIKE RESERVATION DEPOSIT
Only a $25/bike deposit is required when you book your bike reservation. Ptown Bikes was the first bike shop to take reservations by phone or online. At the time of the reservation you only pay $25/bike. This deposit is applied to your reservation when you return your rental... yes when you return you rental. Read about Pay As You Go.
PAY AS YOU GO
Ptown Bikes uses a Pay As You Go format. This means that you don't have to pay in advance for your bike ride. You don't have to decide how long to rent at the beginning. You pay at the end for the time you had our bikes. Relax and Pay As You Go.
RENTAL BIKE INSPECTION AND TEST RIDE
Ptown Bikes employees inspect and test ride every returned rental bike before it goes out to the next rider. This is not true of all bike shops in Provincetown Bikes that have any issues are sent in to the mechanics team to be adjusted or repaired. We have three full time mechanics to keep up with repairs.
EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT
Plan ahead and get a discount. Make your reservation by April 1, each year and get an Early Bird Discount (EBS). Get $5 off each weekly bike rental for not just you, but all renters on the reservation.
VIP LOYALTY DISCOUNT
Some of our clients have been loyal customers for decades... literally! Customers with a long history with us qualify to earn VIP status. This means you get 10% off all bike rentals for yourself and one other person on your reservation. Generally you need a 10 year rental history with us. Possibly less for customers who rent several times every year or who often rent for two weeks or longer. Ask us if you qualify.
24 HOUR BIKE RETURN
Our store hours are from 10am to 5pm daily, but that doesn't mean your bikes are due back by 5pm. Return your bike when it is convenient for you! Just lock your bike in the bike rack, drop the key in the drop box, and text your name to the posted phone number. We will check in your bikes the next day and charge you based on the time stamp of the text message.
OUR REPAIR SERVICE IS SECOND TO NONE
Our head mechanic and general manager, Jeff Millett, has worked for me for over 22 years. He is truly a master mechanic and understands just about every aspect of how bicycles work. Our mechanic staff has been trained in his method and he supervises and leads their work. People bring their bikes from near and far to have our repair staff take care of their bike needs, that is how good he is.
