Ptown Bikes opened its doors on April 1, 1995 with 55 rental bikes, and has been continuously improving ever since. The shop recently added a fleet of Specialized electric pedal assist E- Bikes for rent; the rental fleet is meticulously maintained and new bikes are added every year. The retired bikes are tuned up and sold. We also just finished rebuilding and improving our website and online reservations system.
Owner Bill Meadow's background is in education, and it shows in how he helps customers make the right decision for them. It also shows in the longevity of employees—the mechanic/general manager has been with Ptown Bikes for over 18 years—and in the outstanding customer service offered to everyone who walks in the door.
The goal at Ptown Bikes is to have every customer leave the shop or website with a “WOW” experience. Wow, those were nice rental bikes... Wow, that was fast service... Wow, my bike runs like new... Wow, those guys are really nice!
